I own and use several computers (at present 8) all running the most recent version of Windows and am really unhappy with what they are doing now. I am careful with all the software I use and really dislike being treated as a fool or as a child. ![]() As a user of Windows for 26 years, I do not think they should be forcing me to do anything. I guess Microsoft still thinks of all users as stupid who must be forced to do things in the Microsoft "way". So sadly, just today I changed my default browser to Chrome, where I can ignore "may be dangerous" responses from the browser. Apparently, Microsoft has decided to stop software downloads for software not approved by Microsoft, making most downloads from anywhere but the Microsoft Store not downloadable via Edge. I no longer get a response from Edge that can allow the download to continue and be used. ![]() And yes, you are (were) correct regarding the use of the "3 dots" as I have used that in the past, but, apparently, another update has made that to no longer work. Thank you, Paul, for your very nice reply.
